Preheat oven to 180 °C.

Peel potatoes and steam them in salted water.

Dust salmon with salt, rub olive oil into it, and place it on a baking sheet skin down.

Make the glaze: mix ground ginger, chilli powder, honey, mustard, and pepper.

Rub the glaze into the salmon. Roast it for 15–20 mins at 170–180 °C.

Serve with steamed potatoes.
TIP
Sprinkle the potatoes with finely chopped chives. Alternatively, serve with potato and cranberry salad.
